标题:Arsenal vs FC Porto live: Match report and reaction from the Emirates
The Emirates Stadium was abuzz with excitement as Arsenal hosted Portuguese giants FC Porto in the Champions League last-16 second leg tie. After a 0-0 draw in the first leg in Portugal, the Gunners were determined to secure their place in the quarter-finals.
Arsenal started the match on the front foot, with Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain pressing the visitors high up the pitch. However, it was Porto who came closest to scoring in the opening stages, with striker Andre Silva missing a clear chance to put the visitors ahead.
The home side continued to press and were rewarded in the 28th minute when a neat exchange of passes between Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez led to the latter slotting home from close range. The Gunners fans were celebrating, but their joy was short-lived as Porto equalized just before half-time through a deflected strike from defender Rui Patricio.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger would have been frustrated by the concession, but he would have been heartened by his side's response in the second half. The Gunners upped their tempo and began todominate the match, with Ozil and Sanchez both going close to scoring.
The breakthrough came in the 77th minute, when a Porto clearance fell to Arsenal substitute Olivier Giroud, who smashed home from the edge of the box. The Emirates erupted, and the Gunners looked set to secure their place in the last eight.
However, the visitors were not finished yet. With just minutes remaining, Porto won a penalty after a clumsy challenge from Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi. Striker Silva stepped up to convert the spot-kick, but his effort struck the post and bounced clear.
Arsenal held on for the win, and the Gunners celebrated their victory in front of their fans. They will now face either Bayern Munich or Arsenal in the quarter-finals, with the draw to be made on Friday.
After the match, Wenger praised his side's character and determination to secure the win. "It was a difficult game, but we showed our mental strength to win it," he said. "We have a chance now to go all the way in this competition."
Porto boss Sergio Conceicao was disappointed with the result but proud of his side's performance. "We had our chances but Arsenal were more clinical," he said. "We will keep fighting in the league and the Champions League."
The win keeps Arsenal's European dream alive, and the Gunners will be confident of progressing to the quarter-finals when they face either Bayern Munich or Arsenal in the next round.
